Go Manitoba Moose Go

The Red Wings are leading the Penguins 2-1 in the 08-09 Stanley Cup Finals.  This should be another great series, with the Penguins more hungrier than ever from falling in the finals just last season.

After the Canucks got booted, I felt like smashing my TV in half, but luckily I didn’t.  To make up my daily dose of hockey, I noticed that the Manitoba Moose are on a very successful Calder Cup run.  The Moose just happens to be the Canucks’ farm club, where such players as Cory Schneider, Cody Hodgson, and Michael Grabner are tearin’ it up in the AHL.  I cannot wait until they make the trip to Vancouver and become permanent positions on the roster.

The Moose played their second game today and tied up the series with Jason Jaffray leading the way with his hat trick.  Game 3, 4, and 5 will be broadcasted on TV.  Catch it on Shaw, channel 9.  Go Moose!
